AbstractMTV's encrypted signal now reaches 28 million households, with its greatest distribution in India, China and Indonesia. Advertiser interest has been "terrific", with further sponsorship and promotion deals in the works. However, there are still some significant markets in which MTV cannot be accessed. Hong Kong, for one, owing to some identity confusion between MTV and Channel V among the general audience.
