| Abstract | A tremendous response was received by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) from civil servants worldwide who attended their latest international conference on Bridges into the 21st Century held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Hall at the beginning of the month. The programme, put together by the HKIE, included papers presented by prominent engineers from most part of the globe. Visits were also made to the Lantau Fixed Crossing and other major bridges under construction nearby. |
