| Abstract | The Boan County People's Court in Shenzhen handed down a landmark ruling last month in favour of a Hongkong apartment buyer. Li Yu-dong, a Hongkong road transport company owner, filed action against a Shenzhen property developer for not completing Li's apartment in the period specified in the contract. Li was awarded $240,000 in compensation -- lifting the hopes of thousands of frustrated Hongkong buyers who have parted wiht cash but are still waiting for their apartments to be finished. |
