| Abstract | The performance of the Hong Kong (HK) banking sector was relatively good in the first half of 1995. A series of international financial crises which occurred early this year posed a test for the local banking sector. Owing to its sound foundation, however, the banking sector as a whole was not seriously affected and continued to operate normally. |
