| Abstract | Despite showing vague signs of change, wine-drinking is still not an accepted part of life in Asia, as it is in many western countries. The author asks some of Hong Kong's experts about the future for the wine industry. Recent statistics show that wine drinking is increasing in Hong Kong, however, the average annual consumption of wine is still under two litres per head per annum, as compared to France and Italy where it is over 100 litres per head per annum. |
