| Abstract | Expo 2001, organised by Hong Kong University(HKU) and held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 27-30 November 1993,was an impressive display of the world as we might know it in years to come. Part of the Megalopolis Pavilion was a huge perspex and steel structure, standing higher than a man and lit with coloured neon tubing. This was tomorrows high-rise architecture as envisaged by Charles Lai, an architecture graduate from HKU. |
