| Abstract | Hong Kong's OTTV Implementation Day is on the 21st of July. The legislation for the OTTV Ordinance was passed to great public outcry. The basis of the OTTV legislation is sound. The concept of reducing the energy gains/sq m of building envelopes translates into less energy being spent during cooling, which in turn equates to a clear reduction in fossil fuel expenditure. The ordinance is based on passive energy conservation. It is thus environmentally conscious and very 1990s! |
