| Abstract | In an attempt to overhaul a faltering urban renewal strategy, the Hong Kong Government has come up with a new set of proposals to speed up redevelopment of the inner city's run-down areas. The long-awaited proposals, recently released by the Planning Environment and Lands Branch in a public consultation paper, present a new strategy to make redevelopment more attractive to developers and affected residents, particularly low-income families who live in areas most affected by urban decay. |
