| Abstract | It is common knowledge that distributors selling products into the Park'N Shop, Wellcome and 7-Eleven in Hongkong chains are paying hefty fees to have their products put on the shelf. In Hongkong, it is just a pay-off, mostly driven by the territory's outrageous rents - in the US, store rent represents one per cent of costs; in Hongkong, 10 per cent. |
