AbstractChina's annual export growth surged 49.2 per cent to US$55.9 billion in the five months to May 1995, according to statistics from mainland customs officials. The PRC's trade surplus broke through US$10.3 billion, dramatically reversing the mainland's trade balance fortunes, which featured a US$1.8 billion deficit just a year ago.
