| Abstract | The bearish conditions on world markets in 1994 have had a lingering effect on market operators, big and small in HongKong. The latest casualties of 1994 are independent companies which offer financial advisory services to the ranks of expatriates in the territory. In HongKong, three such companies have closed shop in the past three months. Two of them are Collingwood Investments and Offshore Financial Services. Others have chosen to downsize their activities, including Connaught Financial Planning which was once part of Malaysia's MBF group. |
