| Abstract | In 1989, Simon Kwan & Associates Ltd was engaged by the Architectural Services Department to design a long stay home for the elderly. The result, Wong Chuk Hang Complex, combines both hospital and social welfare accommodation and incorparates a Care and Attention Home (C&A), a Long Stay Care Home (LSC) and a Hospital Block (housing the Infirmary Wards). Standing predominantly six storeys high, it holds a prominent position overlooking Wong Chuk Hang Road and has a southerly aspect with views over Ocean Park. |
