Abstract | This article is an exhibition review. The exhibition, City of Vision, is well structured with main themes progressing logically to emphasize Hong Kong Government's effective planning policies that have resulted in today's successful, dynamic city. The creation of new towns to accommodate the dramatic rise in population - "an extra million for each decade since 1950" - Metroplan - the city's planning policy for redevelopment of inner city areas, and the Airport Core Programme with its interlinked infrastructure leading to the present Harbour Reclamations policy. |
