| Abstract | Shanghai Connet Commercial Development Investment Co., Ltd. is the very first commercial investment joint venture in the Mainland. Established in March 1994, it is a joint venture between Shanghai Shopping Mall Development Industry Co., Ltd. and China Aerospace International Holdings Ltd.(CASIL), Hong Kong, with a total investment of US $60 million and a registered capital of US $20 million. Its incorporation marked a new era in Shanghai's commercial sector, particularly the retail trade, to develop a new type of commerce by using foreign funds and by introducing commodity information, mall management and advanced technology. |
