AbstractThe biological model of modern Western medicine is very well developed and dominating in the Hong Kong health care system. As more clients and practitioners of Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) may move from China to Hong Kong, the demand on the provision of TCM by care system may increase. Regulation and control of the practice of TCM are essential for maintaining Hong Kong health care standards. Policy and legislation should be made to prevent the misuse and abuse of Chinese medicine.
