| Abstract | The medical profession is divided over the issue of giving death a legal definition in an attempt to boost the transplant programme. Legislation will not solve Hongkong's acute lack of organs for life-saving transplants, according to the profession's representative on the Legislative Council. But a founding member of the Hongkong Liver Foundation argues that a move to change the law will go a long way toward raising awareness of the issues. |
