| Abstract | China has set the target for this year's grain production at 455 million tonnes and cotton yields at 4.5 million tonnes. These figures were disclosed at a national work conference on agriculture in Beijing this week by the country's new agricultural supremo, Jiang Chunyun. Efforts will also be made to increase production of oil crops, sugar, meat, acquatic products, vegetables and fruits. |
