AbstractThe authors report three cases of hypertension in pregnancy being treated with angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor (ACEI). Two of them had preterm deliveries and one had missed abortion. Adverse effects of ACEI such as pregnancy loss, oligohydramnios, fetal hypotension and neonatal anuria were observed. With all these evidences, it is not at present advisable to treat hypertension with ACEI in pregnancy.
