AbstractThe most detailed and exhaustive study of its type ever undertaken in Hong Kong into hyperactive Chinese children has just been completed by a University team from the Department of Psychiatry at Queen Mary Hospital. One of the major findings is that the territory has fewer such children than the United Kingdom or United States - only about 0.8 per cent among 7-year old schoolboys according to the World Health Organization (WHO) definition of hyperkinetic disorder.
