| Abstract | The latest tall tale in the printed media concerned the "ransacking" and "forcible moving" of all private property from the Beijing home of what the Western Pres described as a dissident. After leaving China before the Tinanmen incident, Liu Zaifu had devoted most of his time teaching and doing research in Canada and the US. News of the "ransacking" of his "home" in Beijing and reckless handling of personal belongings caused considerable anger and despair among Chinese students in the US and Canada. |
