| Abstract | The growing strength of the Asian fleets would be consolidated by the provision of a forum to encourage greater networking and cooperation throughout the region. It also offered another opportunity to get on the golf course with new opponents. To this end representatives from seven Asian regions namely Korea, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, ASEAN, Australia and Japan came together for the first Asian Shipowners Forum (ASF) in Tokyo on April 6, 1992. |
