| Abstract | Broken promises and red tape appear to be the lot of nurses in Hongkong. Thirteen months ago, Governor Chris Patten declared, "We have given an extra $10 million for nurse training. That shloud provide about 160 extra first-year first-degree places for nurses in the 1995-98 triennium." But nursing professionals say that with 1995 just around the corner, they have neither seen nor heard anything more of the money or the places. |
