| Abstract | As at 31 December 1993, 851,628 cumulative AIDS cases have been reported to WHO. The biggest percentage increase of 115% in 1993 over 1992 was seen in Asia. HIV infection trends have been rapid in South and South-East Asia, with over 2 million cumulative HIV infections estimated by WHO to have occurred to date. |
