| Abstract | Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are important causes of mortality and morbidity worldwide. In Hong Kong, as in many other places where STDs are not statutory notifiable, the exact incidences are difficult to ascertain. This article is a summary on the pattern of major STDs in Hong Kong are based on statistics obtained from the Government Social Hygiene Service, which is estimated to handle 20-30 % of all STD patients seen in both the public and private sectors. |
