| Abstract | We must be clear in our minds what is the real purpose of a Central Provident Fund (CPF). For professionals with high, disposable income, we would regard whatever we get from a provident fund as but part of our savings for old age. For the less financially fortunate, the fund is probably the only source of retirement security other than the minimal social security safety net. |
