| Abstract | The rapid expansion of economic activity between Hong Kong and China will increase the importance of the Hong Kong dollar as a medium of economic transactions and as a currency for holding financial claims. The integration between the monetary sectors of Hong Kong and China is likely to continue to strengthen. |
