Abstract | The way the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in the United States is expanding in Asia is changing. The keystone is sponsors. "We need sponsors because GIA does not always have the resources necessary to expand in all countries requesting our presence," president of GIA, Bill Boyajian, told Jewellery news Asia.
