| Abstract | The geography of diseases has intrigued physicians from the earliest days of scientific medicine, because of the derived potential for preventive medicine if causal links with environmental factors could be detected. This paper describes the development of Geographical Medicine, and gives examples of its value at different times and in different places, including the on-going studies of mortality patterns of Hong Kong. |
