| Abstract | Suicide is over-represented among the older adults in Hong Kong.This problem is becoming increasingly serious since the suicide rate for those aged 70 or above has been rising during the past five years. However the existing preventive service, mainly provided by the Samaritan Befrienders Hong Kong, is less effective with them than with the younger generation. |
