| Abstract | This article traces the intellectual roots of Peter Hodge. It also covers the major concerns, scope, special attributes and features of his writings. Hodge is found to be in the intellectual mode of the British tradition to social administration - reformist, empirical, pragmatic and practical rather than theoretical and speculative. His writings exhibit a deep sense of history and a measured sense of proportion in a world of dilemmas and tradictions. |
