| Abstract | Two kinds of fire door systems are available in Hong Kong: made from timber or steel. Of these, timber fire doors are more popular because of ready availability, easy on-site installation, and relative low cost. Steel fire doors, however, are more durable, provide greater security, and have a higher fire rating standard. |
