| Abstract | For the past few decades, studies on medical genetics have proceeded at a great pace, resulting in an exponential increase in our knowledge of genetic disorders, and also in the setting up of various services to cater for their management. This article discusses the basis of genetic diseases, the diagnostic and screening approaches used, and the existing services provided by the Department of Health. |
