AbstractWith the arrival of the new millennium, it is worthwhile to review the buildings which emerged in the 1990s, in tandem with Hong Kong's rise as a world economy. A panel of experts were invited to review the many projects which came into being during this decade and chose ten which merit special mention. They are selected from a variety of fields, ranging from commerce to education and healthcare; the diversity itself an indication of the all-rounded development Hong Kong has achieved at the end of a momentous century. These top ten buildings of the 90s are featured in the article, including Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre Extension (HKCECE), The Center, Castle Peak Hospital, Hong Kong Technical College (Tsing Yi), Air passenger terminal building, Hong Kong Park, Harmony/Concord Blocks, Peak Tower, Pacific Place and Kingswood Villas.
