AbstractKawasaki disease (KD) or "acute febrile mucocutaneous lymph node syndrome" is probably the commonest and most important form of vasculitis in local children in Hong Kong. KD is a disease of unknown etiology with associated risk of coronary arteritis and aneurysm formation, if not adequately treated with aspirin and intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) within 10 days of onset. The article reports a series of 3 unrelated children diagnosed with recurrent KD within a period of 17 years from 1981 to 1997. Also, it features the clinical implication of these children (all are boys) with recurrent KD, differential diagnoses have been actively pursued and excluded by appropriate laboratory investigations.
