| Abstract | The management of a child with perianal warts in family medicine presents the clinician with quite a challenge. The management of possible child abuse, in particular child sexual abuse, requires the skill and experience of more than a single physician. A multidisciplinary team approach is required as no one doctor or health care individual is equipped with sufficient expertise to deal with all the issues involved. The article seeks to raise awareness about the condition and to illustrate some of the issues involved. It also provides some insights and practical advice on its management. |
