AbstractThe Airport Authority (AA) took delivery of its two marine rescue command boats in April 1998. Both 35-metre vessels meet the Civil Aviation Department aerodrome licensing requirements for sea rescue and fire-fighting operations in the waters surrounding the new airport at Chek Lap Kok. Each has a rescue capacity of 600 people, with onboard accommodation for up to 300 and sufficient inflatable life rafts to hold 300 more.
