| Abstract | The first award scheme designed especially to recognise outstanding achievements by Hong Kong's junior athletes is placing the spotlight on a whole host of impressive performances which might otherwise have passed without much publicity. Launched in September 1997, the adidas/HKSI Junior Star of the Month Award is jointly presented by adidas Hong Kong Limited and the Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI), with the support of the Hong Kong Sports Press Association (HKSPA).
