| Abstract | Anyone involved in construction will hardly need reminding of the frequency of disputes, which are a day-to-day fact in the industry. The economic downturn of 1998 or so in Hong Kong has given a boost to mediation here as a dispute resolution method, for companies have been keen to find ways to limit costs and exposure in both pursuing and defending against claims. The article finds out why many companies are now turning to mediation. |
