AbstractHong Kong is the world's third-most competitive economy, but its position is under assault, as it maintains its United States (US) dollar peg amid Asian currency devaluations. There is no shortage of government-subvented organizations to help Hong Kong maintain its competitive edge. The article examines four of them. They are Hong Kong Industrial Technology Centre Corporation, Business and Services Promotion Unit, Management Development Centre, and Hong Kong Productivity Council.
