| Abstract | The World Health Organization (WHO) and International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases (IUATLD), acknowledging the importance of standardization, joined forces in early 1994 and started the Global Project on Anti-tuberculosis (anti-TB) Drug Resistance Surveillance to measure the prevalence of anti-TB drug resistance using standard methods and to study the correlation between level of drug resistance and treatment policies. |
