AbstractExports of diamond pieces and jewellery sets of European designs to the Gulf states from manufacturers in Asia and the Middle East are expected to increase in 1998. Due to slow sales in Southeast Asia, many suppliers in Asia have diversified their marketing to the Middle East. Some are exhibiting in more trade fairs in the Gulf region to meet new buyers, leading manufacturers supplying the Middle East said. The marketing development strategies by suppliers from Hong Kong, India, Israel and Turkey are featured in the article.
