AbstractAs sales of diamond jewellery in some markets in Asia have slowed, De Beers is expanding promotion in China and Hong Kong in 1998. Its promotional budget for China in 1998 rises 16 percent while budget for Hong Kong rises 13 percent, according to the marketing director for Hong Kong, China and the Philippines at the consumer marketing division of De Beers, Loren Shuster.
