| Abstract | Because of its causal relationship with coronary heart disease, hyperlipidaemia has earned marked attention and concern in the last two decades. Due to its complexity, the understanding of this important clinical entity by clinicians in general is inadequate. The article summarizes the essential points encountered by primary care physicians in the management of hyperlipidaemia, which include how to assess, when to intervene, and how to treat hyperlipidaemia. |
