| Abstract | In 1998, many fatal family tragedies have happened in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Council of Social Service expresses its deep concern and urges the public, through different channels, to handle their family problems in a positive and rational way. The article provides the message sent to different newspapers and the Hong Kong Journalists Association in November 1998 in order to urge the media to be very cautious about the possible social impact of the coverage on family life and appeal for their support to positive response in issues of social concern. |
