| Abstract | Xi'an-Wuhan optic cable trunk project, adopting 8 wavelengths' DWDM technology for the first time, sets an example of engineering design and installation test for existing transmission systems in China. China posts and telecommunications (P&T) Directorate General of Telecommunications has purchased a large quantity of DWDM systems for expansion of large-capacity transmission systems in existing backbone trunks. The article gives an overview of DWDM adopted in Xi'an-Wuhan FOC, and analyses the cost of the project. |
