Abstract | The second Interstoff Asia Spring International Fabric Show was held on April 7-9 in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The shop-early-for-Christmas message was sent, in textile circles, well in advance: Hong Kong hotel capacities tight -- book rooms and flights now, was signalled loud and clear to would-be exhibitors in the run-up to the show. Exhibitors and visitors nevertheless appeared to have different priorities, or perhaps the message failed to reach those in need of new marketing ideas. As a result fabric representation was strong, but attendance somewhat on the disappointing side, for the recent fashion fabric exhibition. |
