| Abstract | In March 1998, the State Pharmaceutical Administration of China was re-organised and given broader power of administration. It is becoming more difficult for foreign pharmaceutical and healthcare concerns to realise profit in the face of government price controls and market regulation. China Pharmaceuticals '98, held in Hong Kong on 26-28 October 1998, is the first industry-wide gathering to address these critical revisions with government counter-parts since the administrative reform. |
