| Abstract | The private-practising professional town planning sector in Hong Kong started in the mid-eighties when a few firms commenced submitting proposals on behalf of developers to the Government. Today, the sector comprising about 30 firms plays a 'significant minor' role in complementing the Government in planning the 1,091 square kilometre of land in the Territory. Richard L.K.
