| Abstract | 1998 is tipped to be a tough, difficult year for Aisa's economies, particularly given the seriousness of problems facing South Korea, Thailand and Indonesia. While the plight of these countries is expected to have some impact on Hong Kong, the fundamentals of the Special Administrative Region (SAR) economy remain strong.
