| Abstract | With a five-year history of continued support and participation, the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) and Information Technology (IT) Division launched the record-breaking sixth HKIE IT Village at the Asian IT Expo '97 during 22-25 October 1997 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). To celebrate the 50th anniversary of HKIE, the main theme of the IT Village was designated "50 years -- Applications of IT in Engineering". |
